Corey Solum, AIA, NCARB
Principal Architect/CEO
Corey Solum is president of Think Architecture and a 25-year veteran of architecture focused primarily on multi-family housing and mixed-use projects. Corey is actively involved in the architectural industry serving as Chairperson for the Utah Architects Licensing Board, NCARB and WCARB task forces, and past president of AIA Utah. Additionally, he’s been involved with Utah Center for Architecture and the newly formed ACE Utah.

Chris Jensen, AIA
Principal Architect/COO
Chris Jensen is a 34-year veteran of architecture specializing in hospitality, multi-family housing and commercial design. For the past five years, Chris has served on the Uniform Building Code Commission and is currently the Chairman. In this role he actively seeks public recommendations regarding proposed changes to Utah’s building codes. These recommendations are then presented to the Legislature for adoption.

Tyler Kirk, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C
Principal Architect
As a principal, Tyler Kirk brings more than 20 years of architectural experience to the firm. Tyler specializes in the design of multi-family, single-family, commercial office buildings, community planning and resort/hospitality projects. Many of Tyler’s projects are high density where the preservation of available resources is critical to find an appropriate balance between the natural and man-made environments. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and has extensive experience with sustainable project design, incorporating some form of sustainable certification.

Principal Architect
Johnny Shirley has more than 20 years of specialized alpine resort experience. His integrated approach to sustainable design that embraces regional context has resulted in award-winning premier architecture. Johnny’s expertise spans various architectural building typologies including condo-hotel, multi-family housing, high-end custom homes, commercial office buildings and mixed-use developments.

Troy Sanders, RLA
Principal Landscape Architect
Troy Sanders is an award-winning landscape architect and principal of Think Architecture with more than 28 years of land planning and design experience. For the last 16 years, Troy has led the landscape architectural studio where he develops design concepts, collaborates with owners and project architects, and reviews projects through completion.

John Shirley
Principal Emeritus
A founding principal of Think Architecture, John C. Shirley has more than 46 years of architectural design and land planning expertise. His primary focus has been in the ski resort industry and his work spans most ski resorts in Utah. His professional experience includes published and award-winning projects from Sundance, Alta, Solitude, Deer Valley, The Canyons, Elk Meadows and Park City to name a few.

Tim Soffe
Principal Emeritis
Tim Soffe is a founding principal of Think Architecture. During his 42 years of professional experience, Tim has participated in a wide variety of land planning and architectural projects in both the public and private sectors. He is passionate about his work and building relationships with city, county and state government staff. Tim has participated in many public meetings, planning reviews and permit coordination, open houses and charette sessions.

Kathryn Thompson, ASID, IIDA
Director of Interior Design
Kathryn Thompson leads the interior design studio and has more than 25 years of design experience. Prior to joining Think Architecture in 2017, Kathryn owned and operated her own interior design firm. Kathryn’s focus has been primarily in the Park City area—designing many resort and hospitality projects, as well as high-end custom homes. Kathryn applies her extensive experience to translate needs and behaviors into functional and creative interior spaces.

Jered Plouzek, NCARB
Associate Architect
Jered Plouzek has more than 25 years of municipal and recreational building experience. Prior to joining Think Architecture in 2017, Jered owned his own architectural firm for more than 10 years. His expertise includes many community recreational facilities, fitness centers and commercial office buildings throughout the western United States.

Mark Stonehocker, AIA
Associate Architect
Mark Stonehocker has more than 30 years of experience as an associate architect on large scale projects. His expertise has been primarily focused on hospitality and multi-family housing including mixed-use and affordable projects in the Park City area. Mark has extensive technical experience in design, specifications and code analysis.

Curtis Tanner, ASLA
Associate Landscape Architect
Curtis Tanner is a registered landscape architect with more than 30 years of experience. Prior to joining Think Architecture in 2013, Curtis owned and operated his own design firm for 25 years. Curtis’ extensive experience includes commercial community master planning, urban streetscapes, public park design, skate parks and community amenity design.

Paul Adams, CDT
Project Manager
Paul Adams is a certified Construction Documents Technologist with more than 12 years of experience in drafting and project management. As project manager, Paul oversees and coordinates multiple projects through the design and construction document phases. He actively manages budgets; program and scope of work; and communication amongst design team. His experience includes a wide variety of public and commercial development projects.

Jim Poloncic
Sr. Project Manager
Jim Poloncic has more than 30 years of architectural design experience. As an associate architect for most of Think’s municipal projects, Jim has designed many public projects for communities along the Wasatch Front and throughout Utah. He is an expert in the planning, design and construction management of fire stations, city halls, public safety and public works buildings. Jim’s work has positively affected many local communities.

Jason Scott
Project Manager
Jason Scott has more than 21 years of construction and project management experience. As project manager over Think’s residential design studio, Jason oversees and coordinates the design and construction document phases for multiple custom home projects. He understands a collaborative approach and open communication between owners and design team provides the best solutions.

Stephen Peaden
Landscape Architect in Training
Stephen is an experienced and well-rounded landscape architect (in training), having worked for civil engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture firms. He has experience providing site planning, conceptual design, planting design, irrigation design, construction document drafting, and design standard documents. Additionally, Steven is an expert in 3D modeling and other graphic rendering allowing customers to visualize their projects and help make decisions.

Travis Wilson, CPSM
Director of Marketing
Travis has over 15 years of experience in professional services marketing, business development, and proposal management for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. He is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) and regularly writes and speaks on professional services marketing. Travis leads Think’s marketing, communications, and business development efforts. Prior to joining Think, he worked for a national construction management firm. Travis serves on several professional association and community boards helping connect and advocate for the AEC industry.

Rich Arave, AIA
Sr. Architect
Rich is a knowledgeable and versatile professional with over 25 years of experience in design, planning, and management. He has a comprehensive portfolio of work including sports, recreation, entertainment, higher education, mixed-use, and multi-family projects. Specifically, Rich is an expert in sports and entertainment design and planning and has worked on dozens of high-profile projects across the nation for professional, collegiate, corporate, and municipal organizations.
