Katie Conner’s journey into the world of interior design began at The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she earned her BFA in Interior Design. With four years of experience in the Salt Lake City area, Katie has established herself as a talented designer with a keen eye for detail. Her passion for the luxury residential market and the commercial and hospitality industries led her to Think Architecture, whom she recognized as one of the leading firms in Utah.
In her new role, Katie is most excited about the opportunity to continue learning and refining her design skills. Having quickly ascended to the position of Senior Designer at previous firms, she felt ready to push her technical understanding further while also enhancing her client interaction skills. “Pushing my own technical understanding of the field, as well as honing my social skills with clients, are very important to my growth in my career,” Katie shared.
Katie’s vibrant personality and unique perspective are sure to enrich our team. Our interview included fun and rapid-fire questions, where Katie revealed a bit more about herself:
Q: If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
A: A tropical bird, specifically a bird of paradise. They not only get to fly (who doesn’t want to fly?), but they are incredibly intelligent and are unusually gorgeous.
Q: Morning person or night owl?
A: Unfortunately, both! I never get to sleep.
Q: Beach vacation or mountain retreat?
A: Mountain retreat. Camping, anyone?
Q: Cats or dogs?
A: Cats, for sure.
Katie Conner’s enthusiasm, expertise, and fresh perspective are valuable additions to Think Architecture, and we are excited to see her grow and thrive with us.
