James F. Allred is the President and the Chief Executive Officer of Think Architecture with expertise in mixed-use projects and construction management.  Prior to the creation of Think Architecture, he was a founding partner of Allred Soffe Wilkinson and Nichols (ASWN+) where he spent the last 34 years focusing on the design and construction of city halls, fire stations, office buildings and multi-family housing projects.  He is the recipient of several design and construction awards and consistently led ASWN+ as a top ten architectural firm in Utah for over two decades.  As a General Contractor and Construction Manager, Jim has constructed over three hundred million dollars of product.

Past projects that he has helped to design and construct include: Murray Recreation Center, Draper City Hall, Layton City Center and Courts Facility, Sandy Senior Center and the Holladay Fire Station. Jim graduated from Utah State University and holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture where he specialized in urban design and city and regional planning.  Although his background is based in design, his first love is construction.  To see great design come to life when built is his quest.  Jim has lived in Murray for over thirty years with his spouse.  When not working, Jim enjoys playing basketball, photography, restoring automobiles, and building just about anything around the house.
