Transform initial rough product designs into working documents.Take documents through the schematic, design development, and construction document phase. Review and coordinate working documents to derive all necessary details and notation for construction. Under the direction of the supervisor, verify and implement the applicable code requirements per project. Communicate with the project team including all the consultant engineers in developing the construction documents, which includes interpreting and coordinating the engineer’s designs into the project to verify that their systems work together with the design intent of the project as a whole. Assist in working with the city departments to confirm all the applicable code requirements are implemented into the construction set to obtain building permits. Coordinate with the construction team to communicate the intent of the construction documents, which includes answering contractor’s questions, clarification of details and drawings, and, product samples. Rely heavily on instructions and pre-established guidelines from a licensed architect or other supervisor to perform the functions of the job. Requires M.S. in Architecture and basic knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the architecture field; familiarity with 3DBuilding Integrated Modeling (BIM) or Computer Aided Design (CAD), AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCad, Adobe Creative – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign – and Microsoft Office Suite.
